Double K Guide Service has been in the business a long time. We sincerely hope you will come out to South Dakota and see why we are such a popular destination for pheasant, antelope, turkey, deer, and prairie dog hunters.
|
Every year our Spring archery turkey hunts get more popular. Double K is THE place
to hunt Merriam's in South Dakota, if not the whole U.S. We own and have access
to prime turkey hunting spots across 3 counties, giving you the choice of numerous
locations and thousands of birds. We also know the birds well and can put you on
the roost in the morning & evening, and in their path during the day.
Our state land shotgun hunts are highly successful, but the tags are harder to get. You will generally draw a license the
second year you apply. Many of our archery hunters get a shotgun tag along with their archery tag. Hunters can use their
bows to fill their shotgun tags, which allows them to kill 2 birds with their bows on the same hunt.
Our tribal hunts are suited for shotgun hunters, but we can accommodate archery hunters, as well. You must have a
registered tribal guide on these hunts, which we provide. The Rosebud Sioux Tribe owns land in our area (off the reservation),
so you will hunt out of our Gregory camp.
Since we are so close to the border, we have begun to offer Nebraska Spring archery turkey hunts. These birds are Merriam's
and tags are unlimited. We generally prefer that you kill your South Dakota bird first before going to Nebraska. Unlike South
Dakota tags, which need to be applied for, Nebraska tags can be bought and printed online.
South Dakota Archery Turkey Hunting
Our success rates are largely due to our 2 "secret" weapons - Double Bull Blinds &
mounted decoys from Wild Intrigue Taxidermy in Gregory. To see these secret
weapons in action, watch our turkey hunting video.
If interested in a South Dakota archery turkey hunt, please contact us. These hunts
have become very popular, so inquire early to secure your spot.
Archery Turkey Hunts are $1000 plus tax for 1 bird. ***To hunt a 2nd bird , add $400.***
Shotgun Turkey Hunts on tribal land are $1200 plus tax. (2 birds)
Prices include Meals & Lodging for up to 4 days. Prices do not include license fees or transportation to camp.
